At QR Concrete we value the physical safety of our employees and the employees from other companies that we interface with throughout the work day. Therefore we have in place a process designed to prevent accidents or incidents from occurring. This process is supported by ongoing training initiatives designed to raise everybody’s level of awareness regarding safety.
The process includes toolbox meetings throughout each day on all of our sites as well as structured safe work procedure training on each site every week. The toolbox meetings and safe work procedure training are both delivered by our own managers and supervisors. We believe that this approach displays a genuine concern by the company for the employees welfare, which results in a reciprocal appreciation for and commitment to the safety initiatives from every employee.
We have combined our safety initiatives with a highly proactive system of rehabilitation which is designed to minimise lost time by working with each injured person through our Rehabilitation provider ‘Health for Industry’. After some initial hesitation our staff have embraced our rehabilitation processes because of the benefits to them i.e. specialised care and treatment and a professionally managed return to work.
